I sent the manuscript of my latest novel, “The Great Martian War: Conterattack!” to the publisher about a week ago. The publisher himself, read it and sent it back to me yesterday with comments and questions. This was strictly about content, not grammar or spelling or anything. There were only about two dozen comments and most were easily answered, either by making small changes, or simply explaining my decisions. I was done in an a hour and sent it back to him. Now comes stage two. He sends it to his editor to look for all those spelling and grammar errors and he will then send it to me for me to make the corrections. We’ll go through this for two or three rounds until it is as perfect as we can make it. Meanwhile I need to get the maps drawn up so they’ll be ready to put in once the formatting is done.
Still hoping for a November release!
